Job Description:

Zeus Associates Recruiting and Staffing is looking for a Registered Nurse - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) to work at a prestigious hospital on Long Island.  

This is a 13 Week Assignment and can be extended for anther 13 weeks plus.

Job Shifts:

12 hour shift from 7am-7:30pm

12 hour shift from 7pm-7:30am

 The RN - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) must be able to perform the majority of patient care skills, good nursing assessment in the level of acute care setting in the specialty with minimal orientation and supervision.

2 yr. minimum recent Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience.  

Preferred Skills:

Job Requirements: 

• Current New York State Registered Nurse license
• Training in Critical Care and Telemetry.
• Preferred experience in a tertiary or academic medical center, bachelors degree.
• Certified in BLS and able to get recertifed
• Minimum of 2 years RN PICU experience in an acute care facility of similar size and level as a hospital
• Experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record preferred
• Travel Experience
• Must not have had professional license or certification suspended or investigated.
• Must not have been named as a defendant in a professional liability claim
• Must have verification of legal right to work in U.S.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearence
• All candidates are subject to drug screening
• All candidates are subject criminal background check
• Must provide evidence of basic arrhythmia telemetry interpretation course certificate
• Must possess excellent excellent communications skills
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelors Degree in nursing preferred

Certifications:

• ACLS
• BLS
• Telemetry

License:

Current New York state Registered Nurse license

Preferred: TNCC certification
