Job Description:

 Zeus Associates Recruiting and Staffing is seeking for a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to provide clinical services to a prestigious hospital patient population in beautiful Long Island. 

This is a temporary night shift position for a 3 – 6 month assignment

The work schedule is a full time, five days per week, from 11:00 pm to 07:30 am, with weekends and holidays rotation.

Duties of the Clinical Laboratory Technologist may include but are not limited to the following:   

• Perform high complexity Hematology/Chemistry testing using both manual and automated methods
• Perform assays consisting of multiple dilutions requiring impeccable technique
• Line responsibility for the performance of clinical analysis in the Department of Laboratories
• Perform routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting as assigned according to established protocols to ensure proper instrument performance.
• Adhere to all quality control policies and procedures.
• Proficient in computer protocols as assigned.
• Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and protocols
• Interact professionally with nursing staff, physicians, support staff, peers, patients, and other members of the hospital community
• Will maintain safe laboratory practices under the direction of Associate Technical Director of the Core Laboratory.
• Perform other clerical duties as assigned

Preferred Skills:

 Required Qualifications:

• Generalist with a strong background in Hematology and Chemistry
• NYSED License as Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Preferred Qualifications:

• Night Shift experience
• Experience with Roche Chemistry and Sysmex Hematology analyzers
• Experience with Sunquest Laboratory Information System
